Email marketing is a key tool for most industrial distributors and manufacturers. As such, spam reporting is an important measure for these email marketers. So, how does our sector stack up? Surprisingly well, it turns out.
Return Path recently examined more than 6.9 billion commercial emails sent by more than 17,000 brands in 2018 and found distribution and manufacturing emails saw a spam reporting rate of just 4%, compared to 14% for all U.S. businesses. In fact, distribution & manufacturing was the lowest-rated sector in the study.
The highest-rated sector was Education/Non-Profit/Government.
