US Consumer Sentiment Reaches 15-Year High

While there may be some signs of a slowing economy, apparently US consumers aren’t buying it—but that’s about the only thing they’re not buying. Beating all expectations, the University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index rose to 102.4 this month. (A recent Bloomberg survey of economists projected the index would hold at 97.2.)
